The GCCM’s work is organized around two dedicated Institutes and three core Practices that drive knowledge, policy, innovation, partnerships and action:
Our Institutes & Practices

Our Institutes & Practices
The Communities Climate Adaptation Facility
Provides affected communities with rapid-response adaptation grants up to $100,000 for community-led solutions. These grants help communities to remain in place, respond to immediate threats, and build resilience.

The Adaptation Journeys Institute
Advances efforts on knowledge, science and data, as well as adaptation, community climate finance, and resilience. It enables actions to protect the livelihoods, heritage & culture of impacted communities.

The Rising Nations Institute
Leads the implementation of the UN Sea-Level Rise Declaration, fostering partnerships, enabling collective action and elevating the voices of affected communities and countries.

The Knowledge Hub
Equips governments and communities with data and analysis to inform locally-led solutions, strategic planning and policy design to harness the potential of climate mobility. Through field research, cutting-edge modeling and local consultations, it supports evidence-based policymaking and locally-led action.

The Solutions Lab
Enables the design of scalable solutions, and advances partnerships and innovation in a variety of fields to address the impacts of climate mobility. It also supports the development of locally-led projects with affected communities and strategic partners to enable positive adaptation journeys amidst the climate crisis.
